Purpose

This component manages meter readings. Meter readings can be recorded in the following ways:

A meter reader from the utility company or an external meter reading company records the result on the meter reading order or enters it in the external entry system.

The customer records the readings and provides them to the utility company.

The meter reading result is estimated automatically.

The meter reading is derived from a result already entered in the entry interval. In this way you can avoid having to read a meter that has recently been read.

The system stores the both the meter reading results and the way in which they were entered or determined.
