Modification Analysis
The BE Framework maintains a clear distinction between the “Standard” or “Core”, and certain “Modifications” or “Enhancements” that are made to features. These features are fully defined by SAP for instances such as the assignment of values for a billing application for CRM, industry sectors or localization, but not for customer modifications. All modifications/enhancements that are made to an application can be clearly represented in the modification analysis. They can be called either for the entire application or for an individual feature.
The result of the modifications, whether regarding feature attributes or subscriptions, can be seen in the navigation tree under the corresponding metadata. The goal of the modification analysis is to provide an overview of all the modifications from the perspective of the features.
Further navigation from the list is not possible, this must be done using the navigation tree.
The technical modification analysis lists all feature attributes for one or all features, together with the data element and the structure of a container – and the corresponding object, in which they are contained. A list viewer is used for the display, enabling you to sort fields so that they are listed together for a given structure.
The functional modification analysis lists all subscriptions with their templates and the event to which they are subscribed. Also, the list also details in which workbench object the event is used. The name of the generated object is used for this. The inactive flag indicates the inactive features. You can sort by event to list all the subscriptions per event.
