Purpose

You use the Administration Console primarily to organize and define data distribution for field sales or service representatives who work offline and therefore maintain their own datasets. You also use the Administration Console to define datasets and assign users.

The Administration Console is located on the CRM server. You access it from the SAP Easy Access menu by choosing Architecture and Technology ® Middleware ®Administration ®Administration Console.

Process Flow

...

The system uses a replication model to define the data exchange between the CRM Server and the sites. In this process, business object types are represented technically as BDoc types.

       1.      You use the Administration Console to transform each relevant BDoc type into a replication object.

       2.      You group the replication objects that must be transferred to the mobile client. These groups are called publications.

       3.      You then use the Administration Console to subscribe a site to one or more publications so that the site receives data that is relevant for the user’s work.

For more information, see Creating and Managing Replication Relevant Objects.
