Use

For each number range you created in the activity Defining Number Ranges for Business Partners (Part 2) you have to create a business partner grouping in CRM. This grouping has to be assigned manually or automatically when creating a business partner. The business partner is given a number from the number range that is assigned to the grouping.

       1.      Choose New Entries.
Create a grouping for each number range interval you created in the activity
Defining Number Ranges for Business Partners.

       2.      Enter the data as follows:

Choose a grouping with a starting with a letter that indicates this grouping should be used when creating business partners in the CRM system (for example, C).

Short Name

<Short text>, for example, CRM Customer

Choose a name indicating that this grouping is used for the corresponding ERP account group.

Description

<Description>, for example, CRM Customer

 

Number Range

<Number Range>

Choose one of the number ranges you have created before.

External

<Flag for external number assignment>

Set automatically according to the selected number range.

       3.      Choose Enter.

       4.      Save your entries.
