Function documentation Generating an Application  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

After changing the metadata, you must regenerate the entire application. The procedure for this is described in the example for application CRMB (= “CRM billing”).

Procedure

1.       From the root node of the application view (i.e. from the entry ‘CRMB’), call the context menu and choose the function “Generate application -> Online”.

2.       When generation is completed, the system will issue a message informing you whether generation has been completed successfully or if errors have occurred.

3.       To view the function log, in the function bar of the navigation tree, choose the function “Generation log”.

You can also perform the generation in the background (via context menu function “Generate application -> In background”). When generation is complete, you should then view the generation log to check whether errors have occurred.
