Number Assignment Using the Same Numbers in a Leading System 

When CRM is the leading system, consumers with the business partner category Person (henceforth called Consumer Person) are created and replicated to ERP as consumers. Matching numbers are achieved in this way. In ERP the consumers should be able to be enhanced with other data.

In ERP there is only the ERP account group 0170 for consumers. Other ERP account groups cannot be created for consumers, which means that only a leading system strategy is possible for matching numbers for consumers.

When CRM is the leading system, consumers with the business partner category Organization (henceforth called Consumer Organization) are created and replicated to ERP as customers. Matching numbers are achieved in this way. In ERP the customers should be able to be enhanced with other data.

A consumer organization created in CRM may only be replicated as a customer to ERP.

Result

In CRM a business partner with the classification Consumer: Person is created and is assigned the number 800321. The ERP system copies this number during replication and creates the corresponding ERP customer master with the number 800321, under the account group 0170. If a consumer is changed in ERP, these changes are also transferred to the CRM system.
