Object documentation The Price Construct  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Individual prices in the contract are maintained in a hierarchical format. Price versions are used as the basis for this. You can record several price types (such as peak/off-peak) in a price version. You can record several periods with their own prices in each case for each price type. The price type and period can in turn contain quantity-dependent scales.

 Caution

Price maintenance does not have a separate authorization check. Use the authorization objects for the business transaction.

Price Variants

You can save several price versions in the contract for comparison purposes. Price versions are used as the basis for this. The price version is used to define prices.  The price version contains the creation date and user, status information, a connection to document management and an active indicator, which defines the active version.

You can create a new price version by choosing New Price Version, Price Proposal, or Calculation.

If you choose New Price Version, the system generates a new price version and copies the prices from any previous version that exists.

If you choose Price Proposal, the system can only use this in a contract without prices. It generates a new price version and enters the values maintained in the product or those found in the calculation variants in the price table.

If you choose Calculation, the system generates a blank price version. Prices are then entered by the external price calculation tool. You can record several price types (such as peak/off-peak) in a price version. Once a version has the status manual or external calculation, prices can no longer be modified and you need to create a new version.
