Use

If you have SAP HR, you can download HR employee master data from HR to CRM. The employee data is then available as business partners in the CRM system and can be linked with customer data using business partner relationships, for example.

Prerequisites

The copying of employee data takes place using ALE/IDOC technology. You must first have set up Application Link Enabling (ALE) between the HR and CRM systems.

Caution

It is essential that you observe the instructions in Note 550055 New ALE Distribution for Organizational Structures.

For more information about integrating business partners and employees, see the SAP Implementation Guide ® Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Integration Business Partner-Employee.

Features

For data exchange HR is the leading system, that is, the HR master data cannot be changed in the CRM system. Consequently, data exchange from CRM to HR is not possible.

If the data transfer of HR master data is successful, the delta load from HR to CRM is activated. If HR master data is changed in HR, these changes are promptly transferred to the CRM system.

The following objects are transferred:

     HR organizational units

They are created in the CRM system as business partners with the category Organization in the role Organizational Unit.

     HR employee master data

This is created in the CRM system as business partners with the category Person in the role Employee.
