Consistency Check
For the successful generation of a BE application, certain requirements for the consistency of metadata in an application must be met. A restrictive consistency check runs automatically before every generation. There are, however, also checks that do not prevent generation, but which indicate when it is not practical to maintain metadata. The consistency check indicates these instances.
A consistency check can be called for an entire application. The system then displays a dialog box containing the following selection of checks:
· Check containers/structures
· Check events
· Check features
The corresponding checks can also be called directly from the metadata (e.g. from the “Feature” text node).
The check result is displayed in the detail area in the standard display of the SAP Application Log. The upper section of the screen lists the logged messages in a tree display according to the defined hierarchy. You can double click on a message to list all the corresponding individual messages in the lower section of the screen. From there, you can also branch to the long text for a message.
