IPC: Performing the Function Check 
This procedure enables you to perform the function check for product configuration User Interface (UI), which is a part of the IPC Web applications group.
You have installed and configured the IPC Web applications. This includes:
Making settings in Extended Configuration Management (XCM) Customizing
Setting up connection to the back office system
You have a J2EE user with administration privileges and the password
Open an Internet Browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer)
Enter the following uniform resource locator (URL) into the address field of the browser: http://<sap_j2ee_engine_host>:<http port>/ipc and confirm with Enter.
A list of available customer XCM configurations are displayed.
Choose one of the configurations from the list.
An HTML form appears with the following fields:
KBNAME: Enter the name of a knowledge base
Note
This is an optional field. This acts as a filter criteria for the list of knowledge bases to be displayed.
LANGUAGE: Two-digit ISO language code (such as EN, DE, FR). This is the language in which the configuration UI screen will appear.
Note
This field does not influence the language of the HTML form itself.
Choose Submit
A List of knowledge bases known to the IPC server appears.
Choose one of the knowledge bases.
A list of associated knowledge base profiles appears to the right.
Choose one of the knowledge base profiles.
You have correctly installed and configured the product configuration UI for the XCM Configuration (that you have chosen in step 4). The configuration web user interface is started.
