To make documents from the CRM server available for indexing and the search function, create a new index.

Prerequisites

You have administrator rights for the Knowledge Management (KM) component on the server.

Procedure

  1. Create a new index.

    For information on creating an index, see the SAP NetWeaver Library on the SAP Help Portal at help.sap.com.

  2. Enter an ID and a name.

  3. Choose TREX Search as Service.

  4. Choose Create Index.

  5. Choose Crawler Profile for Hierarchical RM as Crawler Profile.

    Leave all other values unchanged.

  6. Save your entries

  7. To assign the newly created repository to the index, choose Data Sources.

  8. Choose Add.

  9. Select the new repository in the WebDAV repository manager.

  10. Save your entries.

To test the new index, use the Crawler Monitor.
