You use this process to create or change advanced selection objects in Mobile System Maintenance (MSY).

For more information, see Advanced Selection Object.

Prerequisites

You have identified the names of tables and fields that you want to use in the advanced selection object.

MSY does not perform any validation on the table and field names.

Process

  1. In MSY:

    1. Enter details such as the name, keyword, SQL statement, table, and field assignments for the advanced selection.

      For more information, see Creating Advanced Selections.

    2. Define criteria for the advanced selection and build the criteria tree structure for the advanced selection.

      For more information, see Defining Advanced Selection Criteria.

    3. Define the variables for the criteria and, if necessary, design the variables as combo boxes.

      For more information, see Defining Advanced Selection Variables and see Designing Advanced Selection Variables as Combo Boxes.

  2. Using Mobile Application Studio, integrate the advanced selection for a business component of a mobile application.

Result

You have created an advanced selection object and can now use it in a mobile application.
