  • Configure the communication lines that must appear in various tile sets of the mobile applications

  • Configure the appearance of the address in the Communication Lines tile of the Business Partners/Communication tile set of mobile applications.

Procedure

Perform the following steps in Mobile System Maintenance.

Configuring the Address Display in the Communication Lines Tree

The following steps are applicable only to the Communication Lines tile for business partners and contacts. You can define the address values that must appear in the address node of the tree.

  1. Choose   Cross-Component Settings   Choice Fields  .

  2. Select the BPCONCOMMLINESADDR choice field. This choice field can have the following values (corresponding to fields in the address):

    • BUILDING – Building

    • CITY1 – City

    • COUNTRY– Country code

    • COUNTRYTEX – Name of the country

    • FLOOR – Floor

    • HOUSENUM – House number

    • POBOX – PO box

    • POSTCODE1 – Postal code 1

    • POSTCODE2 – Postal code 2

    • REGION – Region code

    • REGIONTEXT – Region text

    • STREET – Street

  3. If you enter a nonzero value in the sort field for a value, the value appears in the specified sort order in the address node, separated by commas (,).

If you enter 0 in the sort column for all the values, only the city and country appear in the address node.

  4. Save the changes.

Defining Communication Lines

You can define the communication types that must be available in the mobile applications. These communication types appear in tile sets such as Business Partners/Contact Persons, Addresses, and Communication (Communication Lines tile).

The following communication types are supported by the mobile applications:

  • Telephone

  • Mobile

  • Fax

  • E-Mail

  • Telex

  • teletext

  • Pager

  • Uniform Resource Identifier (URI)

The first four of these communication types are always available in the application. The remaining four communication types are not available by default; you can, however, change this setting.

  1. Choose   Cross-Component Settings   Choice Fields.

  2. Select the BPCOMMLINES or CPCOMMLINES choice field.

    • BPCOMMLINES is for business partners

    • CPCOMMLINES is for contacts

Separate choice fields are available for business partners and contacts so that you can select different communication types for them. You may, for example, want to use the Pager communication line for contacts only.

Both choice fields can have the following values:

    • TELEX

    • TELETEX

    • PAGER

    • URI

  3. To activate these fields in the mobile applications, enter a nonzero value in the sort field. The communication lines appear in the specified sort order in the Communication Linestile of the Business Partners/Communication tile set.

  4. Save the changes.

Adding URI Types
  1. Choose   Cross-Component Settings   Choice Fields.

  2. Select the URITYPESchoice field. The following values are defined for the choice field:

    • HPG – Homepage (WWW)

    • FTP – FTP address

    • STK – Call up share prices

    • ACC – Bank statement request

    • INT – Intranet page

    • LOG – Company logo

    • PFB – Published free/busy information (calendar)

You cannot change or delete these values; you can, however, create more values.

  3. Save the changes.
