Specifying Filter Settings for Initial Data
Transfer
This is an optional activity and may be beneficial for improving performance.
You use this activity to restrict the data you transfer during the initial download on a segment basis. For example, you may first want to download the vendors from Canada, then Germany, etc. To do this, you set a filter.
...
1. In the ERP system in transaction SE16, enter table LFA1.
Select the vendors that you would like to download, that is vendors that have some common data that could be filtered in CRM (see step 2). Make sure that the account group (field KTOKK) of these entries is the same as used for the mapping of vendor exchange data (CRM<->ERP) in transaction PIDV (ERP).
2. In CRM, start transaction R3AC1 and select the filter button for the adapter object VENDOR_MAIN. Activate the object if it has not been activated yet.
a. In change mode select the source site where you want to set the filter.
b. Use the F4 input help to select the table through which you would like to filter (for example, LFA1), then select the relevant field (for example, LAND1, LIFNR).
Note that if no values are shown in the input help for the filter tables, you can check whether the relevant fields and tables are registered in the CRM table SMOFFILFLD for the object VENDOR_MAIN in transaction SM31. If you want to filter by ERP number, for example, the table SMOFFILFLD should contain an entry for the object VENDOR_MAIN, table LFA1, and field LIFNR.
c. Select the comparison form and the value you would like to set (for example, LAND1 = US, M < LIFNR < ZZZ). You may also use more than one filter, for example you can also select those entries that are not flagged for deletion (LFA1-LOEVM <> 'X').
d. Save your changes without a transport request. Choose Filter Synch. (R/3).
3. You can now start the initial download. Only those entries that match the filter conditions will be transferred to CRM.
