Publications for the Product Configuration Model  

Use

This function describes the publications that distribute master data for configured products created in the Product Modeling Environment (PME) in SAP CRM.

This publication is new as of CRM Release 4.0. In earlier releases, configured products created in SAP CRM were downloaded with the material master.

Configuration Model (by Name + Version + Usage + Org.)

When you create the related subscriptions, there is no F4 help for these criteria fields. Use the following values:

●      SMOCFGKB – SALES_ORG – Use the sales organization that is defined in Customizing for CRM under Master Data ® Organizational Management ® Organizational Model

●      SMOCFGKB – DISTRIBUTION_CHA – Use the distribution channel that is defined in Customizing for CRM under Master Data ® Organizational Management ® Organizational Model

●      SMOCFGHIER – Name – Use the configuration product name that is defined in Customizing

●      SMOCFGHIER – Version – Use the value that is defined in Customizing

●      SMOCFGKB – KB_USAGE – Use the configuration product name that is defined in Customizing

Knowledge Base Publications

The Knowledge Base contains all data needed by the Sales Configuration Engine (SCE) for the configuration of materials. You need this publication to be able to configure products on the mobile client.

You can distribute the Knowledge Base with one publication that is dependent on the name of the Knowledge Base (language independent) (KBOBJNAME), the logical system (LOGSYS), and the Knowledge Base version (VERSION). Therefore, for each new version, you need to create a new subscription. This is not required for new builds.
