Enabling Dialog Boxes
You can enable dialog boxes in the interaction center (IC) for organizational units, organizational unit attributes (distribution channel or division), business partners, sales and service contracts, quotations, and others. The dialog box gives the user selection options when the system identifies more than one organizational unit, business partner, service contract, and so on.
You can maintain the following settings in Customizing:
Allows Dialog Box indicates whether dialog boxes for organizational unit and business partner selection are allowed for a certain business transaction profile. This setting is not dependent on the transaction type. This setting does not influence other dialog boxes such as service contract selection, quotation selection, and others.
Auto. Dialog Box indicates whether selection dialog boxes appear automatically. If you do not select this option, the user can access dialog boxes by clicking a warning message in the message log.
In Customizing for SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM), choose .
Under Business Transaction Profile and Dependent Business Transactions, select Auto. Dialog Box to enable automatic dialog boxes.
Under Business Transaction Dialog Boxes, select Allows Dialog Box to allow dialog boxes for organizational unit and business partner selection.
You can combine these settings to produce the following results:
Automatic System Selection
If you do not select Auto. Dialog Box nor Allows Dialog Box, the system does not offer dialog boxes for organizational unit or business partner selection. Instead, the first determined organizational unit and business partner are automatically selected. The user cannot influence these selections. For other determination results, such as service contracts or quotations, the system does not offer dialog boxes automatically. Instead, the user can click a warning message to access the selection dialog boxes.
Automatic Dialog Boxes Only
If you select Auto. Dialog Box, but not Allows Dialog Box, the system automatically selects the first determined organizational unit and business partner. However, dialog boxes appear automatically for other determination results such as service contracts or quotations.
Allow Dialog Boxes Only
If you select Allows Dialog Box, but not Auto. Dialog Box, the system does not automatically select the organizational unit, business partner, service contract, and so on. Instead, the user can click on a warning message to access the selection dialog boxes.
Both Allow Dialog Boxes and Automatic Dialog Boxes
If you select both Allows Dialog Box and Auto. Dialog Box, dialog boxes appear automatically when more than one organizational unit, business partner, service contract, and so on is determined.
