Generation Logs 

Use

The interface for displaying the generation logs for an application is set up with a navigation area and a detail area in the same way as BE Navigator.

The navigation area lists all the existing generation logs.You can display a log from this list in the detail area. You can also delete generation logs from the list.

The representation of a generation log in the detail area is the standard display for the SAP Application Log. The upper section includes the logged messages in a tree display according to the defined hierarchy. You can double click on a message to list all the corresponding individual messages in the lower section of the screen. From there, you can also branch to the long text for a message.

The following functions are available in the navigation area:

 

Function	Area	Functionality
Display log	Navigation list	You can use this function to call the selected generation log in the detail area.
Delete log	Navigation list	You can use this function to delete all selected generation logs.
<Double click>	Navigation list	You can use this function to display the selected generation log in the detail area.
<Double click>	Message tree	You can use this function to display a list of all the individual messages in the sub-tree.
<Double click>	Message list	This displays the long text for the message (where available).
