You use this business function to activate utilities retail localization for Japan. This business function enables you to maintain additional contract details required for Japanese Billing Period (JBP) calculations.

Features

As per the deregulated electricity retail law in Japan, energy retailers need to maintain contract details for JBP calculations.

Users can maintain these details in SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and the system makes these details available in SAP Utilities.

Effects on Existing Data

The following CRM processes have been enhanced:

  • New contract and end contract - The Contract Data screen in contract management has been enhanced to support creation of a new contract and end of a contract as per JBP.

    • New contract - A new field Actual Move-In Date is now available. The user maintains the actual move-in date in this field. The system uses the date maintained in this field as the contract start date. The system displays the actual move-in date and contract start date on the Contract Data screen and the Summary screen.

    • End contract - A new field Actual Move-Out Date is now available. The user maintains the actual move-out date of the contract in this field. The system uses this date to calculate the contract end date using the formula:

      Contract end date = Actual move-out date – 1

      The system displays the actual move-out date and contract end date on the Contract Data screen and the Summary screen.

  • Change contract - Two new fields Actual Move-In Date and Actual Move-Out Date are now available in the below change processes. The user can:

    • Enter or change the actual move-in date in the Change contract start date and Product change in the same document processes

    • Enter or change actual move-out date in the Change Contract End Date process

  • Correct contract - A new field Actual Move-In Date is now available in Correct contract process. The user can enter or change actual move-in date in this field.
