You can embed the rapid application as a new assignment block in one or more applications. You can map the parameters of the rapid application to the application data by embedding the rapid application or you can assign default values. You can embed a rapid application in any overview page of an existing application.
To embed a rapid application, open the application in which you want to embed the rapid application and open the page configuration. You can choose from the following options:
The function is provided in the form of a guided activity that guides you through the process of embedding a rapid application. Within the process, you can navigate backwards and forwards as required.
Screen 1: Select Embeddable Views
Here you select the rapid application that you would like to embed.
Screen 2: Map Search Parameters
Here you assign default values or attribute tags to the input parameter fields. Attribute tags refer to the data model of the application in which you embed the rapid application. The attribute tags are filtered according to the UI object type, which is derived from the overview page of the application in which you embed the rapid application. For the data type Time
, you cannot use 00:00(:00) as a default value since this cannot be distinguished from an initial value.
The system ensures that the input parameters are filled at runtime with the values you define here.
Screen 3: Configure View
Here you choose the required display mode, table view or form view, and enter a name for the embedded rapid application.
Note
In the form view, only the first entry of a result list is displayed. Make sure that the data displayed is useful.
Choose Complete
and save your entries. The embedded rapid applications appear in the list of available assignment blocks in the page configuration of the overview page. From here, you can display the rapid application as an additional assignment block.
You can change the embedding of a rapid application. For example, you can change the mapping of the search parameters or the display mode.
To remove the embedding of a rapid application, you must first hide the rapid application as an assignment block in the page configuration. You can then remove the embedding. To do so, in the page configuration choose
.To delete an existing rapid application, you must first remove its embedding. You can then delete the rapid application in the work center Administration
by choosing Manage Rapid Applications

You can undo changes to the embedding of a rapid application delivered and embedded by SAP, and reset it to default. To do so, in the page configuration choose
