During the first transport step, the system initially determines all product data and performs the following additional checks:
Check whether the product already exists in the target system in the version selected with the associated status. In this case, the transport is obsolete and cannot be performed.
When the master data template is assigned to a product version (only applies to saleable utilities products and reference products), the system checks whether this template exists in the ERP back-end system for the source system.
Check the availability of the basic product category
The basic category for the product must exist with the same name in the target system.
Check the availability of set types in the target system
The basic category in the target system must contain the set types that have been maintained in the source system.
Check the indicator IPC Configuration
and whether an active knowledge basis exists and has the released status.
Check the group objects - attribute groups, component groups, product determination object (PDO) search results groups:
During product modeling for the utilities industry
, you can use various group objects within a product version whose definition is not part of the product master. Separate Customizing settings are available for these objects. Therefore, if you are using one or more of these group objects, the system checks whether they exist in the target system.
You make the settings for these objects by choosing the following paths in Customizing:
Attribute Group: Customizing for Customer Relationship Management
under .
Component Group: Customizing for Customer Relationship Management
. Use the transactions S_A6G_72000047 and S_A6G_72000048.
Search Results Group: Customizing for Customer Relationship Management
under .
Check the attributes for the simplified configuration in Customizing for the target system.
See the section Settings in Customizing in the product modeling for the utilities industry documentation.
The system checks that identical names and a matching data element declaration (DDIC or document segments) have been used.
