Background documentationDetails of the Form View and the List View Assignment Blocks

  • Select Steps

Selected [Node] List View Assignment Block

    • This assignment block is only displayed when you choose a nested Select step (in other words, this assignment block is not displayed when you select Step 1: Select Contracts)

    • Displays the set of contract nodes that are selected from the immediately superordinate Select step:

      For example:

      • If your procedure features the Select IPs step followed by the Select Rights Scope — Rights Groups step as a subordinate node, when you select the Select Rights Scope — Rights Groups step, the Selected IPs assignment block is displayed and displays the IPs selected from the superordinate Select IPs step

      • If your procedure features the Select Rights Scopes step followed by the Select Rights Scope — Rights Groups step as a subordinate node, when you select the Select Rights Scope – Rights Groups step, the Selected Rights Scopes assignment block is displayed and displays the rights scopes selected from the superordinate Select Rights Scopes step.

Select [Node] Form View Assignment Block

    • Allows you to specify the search criteria used in the search.

    • Specify your search criteria and select Search.

    “Result” List View Assignment Block

    • Displays the contracts (or contract nodes) matching the search criteria you specified in the Select [node] assignment block.

  • Add Steps

Add [Node] Form View Assignment Block

    • Allows you to specify the details of the node you wish to add.

Added [Nodes] List View Assignment Block

    • Initially displays

      • The superordinate nodes to which the system will add the current node. For example, if you are adding a rights scope – rights group, the assignment block displays the rights scopes that are subject to the addition

      • Empty attribute fields, which are completed with the details of the node you are adding, once you execute the step

    • Once the system successfully applies the Add operation on a superordinate node, it fills the empty attribute fields with the details of the node it has added.

    • If the system is not able to add the node, it keeps the attribute fields empty and creates a message in the Message Log Details assignment block

    Note Note

    • The Execution column displays one of the following three icons, depending on the result of the apply:

      • Gray circle: Not executed

      • Green check mark: Done

      • Red circle: Error (see log)

      • The On Save column displays Add if the step is successfully applied. This indicates that the node will be added as specified when you select the Save button.

    End of the note.
  • Copy Steps

No Form View Assignment Block when Copying Scopes

    • There is no form view assignment block when you wish to copy scopes (for example, a rights scope, a royalties scope (flat fee), or royalties scope (variable)). If you wish to indicate specific scopes to copy, you need to run a Select step for the scope prior to the Copy step.

    • If you do not explicitly choose the scopes to copy, all available scopes of the respective type are implicitly selected.

    Copy IP Assignment Block

    • The Copy IP form view assignment block allows you to specify the IP you wish to copy. You can enter the IP ID directly in the field or you can use the value help to find the IP to copy.

Copied [nodes] List View Assignment Block

    • Initially displays the nodes that the system is copying. For example, if you are copying rights scopes, the assignment block displays all the rights scopes that are to be copied.

    • Once the system successfully applies the Copy operation on a node, the data of the nodes resulting from the copy is displayed, instead of the copied node

    • If the system is not able to copy the node, it creates a message in the Message Log Details assignment block

    • The On Save column displays the result of the step if you select Save. In most cases, if you do not wish tosave, you can always revert back to the original settings by selecting Undo.

    Note Note

    • The Execution column displays one of the following three icons, depending on the result of the apply:

      • Gray circle: Not executed

      • Green check mark: Done

      • Red circle: Error (see log)

      • The On Save column displays Add if the step is successfully applied. This indicates that the copied node will be added as specified when you select the Save button

    End of the note.
  • Change Steps

Change [node] Form View Assignment Block

    • Allows you to change the values of the node's attributes.

    • You only need to indicate values for those attributes that you need to modify. If you leave a specific field blank, the system keeps the current value of the corresponding attribute as is.

    Note Note

Changing the Associated Rights Group When Changing a Scope

    • If you are changing a scope (for example a rights scope, royalties scope (flat), rights and royalties scope (variable)), you can overwrite the rights group data (more specifically, the rights dimensions values) in the same step, instead of executing a separate step. To do so, select Overwrite Rights in the Rights Group section of the Change [node] assignment block.

    • When you overwrite the rights group information this way, data from all rights groups in the rights scope is overwritten.

    End of the note.

Changed [nodes] Result View Assignment Block

    • Initially displays

      • The nodes which the system will change. For example, if you are changing a rights scope – rights group, the assignment block displays the rights scopes — rights groups that are subject to the change.

      • The attribute values of the nodes subject to the change. For example, if you are changing a rights scope – rights group, the assignment block displays the rights dimension values.

    • Once the system successfully applies the Change operation on a node, it changes the corresponding attribute fields with the new value.

    • If the system is not able to change the node, it keeps the attribute fields with their original values and creates a message in the Message Log Details assignment block.

    • The On Save column displays Change if the step is successfully applied. This indicates that the node will be changed as specified when you select the Save button

    End of the note.
  • Delete Steps

Deleted [nodes] Result View Assignment Block

    • Initially displays the nodes that the system is deleting. For example, if you are deleting rights scopes, the assignment block displays all the rights scopes that are to be deleted.

    • Once the system successfully applies the Delete operation on a node, it displays Delete under the On Save column. This indicates that the node will be deleted when you select the Save button.

If the system is not able to delete the node, it keeps the On Save field empty and creates a message in the Message Log Details assignment block

    End of the note.
