Change Financial Terms Across Sales Contracts

You wish to add or subtract a specified amount or percentage from the royalties payable that you have defined in selected license acquisition contracts.

The contracts include a royalties (variable) item to describe the royalties payable.

Mass Change Procedure

  • Access the mass change procedure from the License Acquisition work center.

  • Carry out a Select Contracts step to select the sales contracts that you wish to change.

  • Carry out a Change Royalties Variable – Royalty Rate step to change the royalties rate.

  • Apply your changes.

  • Check your operation results – if errors occur, review the message log or message log details as applicable.

  • Save your changes when you are finished.

Extend or Terminate License Period For All Or Several IPs Covered By A Contract

A contract features multiple IPs, each with different license periods. You therefore wish to align the license periods for each IP.

The IPs in the contract include a rights and royalties (flat) item to describe the rights sold and royalties receivable.

Mass Change Procedure

  • Access the mass change procedure from the License Sales work center.

  • Carry out a Select Contracts step to select the sales contract that contains the IPs whose license periods you wish to change.

  • Carry out a Change Rights and Roy. Flt. – Date step, specifying the new Date, Time, Date To or Time To values as required.

  • Apply your changes.

  • Check your operation results – if errors occur, review the message log or message log details as applicable.

  • Save your changes when you are finished.
