Reference Products and Product Modules
You can use reference products or product modules to accelerate the product modeling process.
Reference products and product modules are distinguished in their characteristics as follows:
Characteristic | Reference Product | Product Module |

Where used | Template for products with a similar structure and optionally with the same master data template | Bundled sets of attribute groups, attributes and the associated rules |
Saleable | No, even though it is a product that has been modeled completely, it cannot be sold. | No |
Master data template | Yes, optional. If no master data template is maintained, this must be obtained from the product that contains the reference product or product determination object. | No |
Assignment | The reference product can be assigned to new utilities products during the creation process. | Any number of utilities product roles can be assigned to the product module using the |
