Marketing Permissions

DataSource Attributes: 0CRM_MKT_PERM

This DataSource extracts the time intervals during which you can send unsolicited marketing material to an account or contact, and the communication channels that you can use for sending unsolicited marketing material. This is indicated by the Contact Permission ID with the value Y (Yes) in the corresponding extraction record.

The start dates and end dates of these time-intervals are determined from the following:

The values maintained in the Date of Consent in the Marketing Permission AB of the account or contact
The address(es) of the account or the organization of the contact, as well as their valid from and valid to dates
The Customizing settings in the activity Customer Relationship Management Master Data Business Partner Define Settings for Marketing Permissions Define Opt-In Settings Define Country-Specific Opt-In Settings

Example Example

In the Marketing Permission AB, the following information is available for Account 5432:

Consent is Given
Communication Channel is E-Mail
Date of Consent is 01.07.2010

On the date of consent the account is resident in country A where an opt-in identifier of 12 months applies (as defined in the Customizing activity Define Country-Specific Opt-In Settings). On 15/10/2012, the account becomes resident in country B for which no opt-in identifiers are defined in Customizing.

Based on this information, the Datasource extracts the following records for account 5432 for the communication channel E-mail:

Record 1: Contact Permission ID with the value Y from 01.07.2010–30.6.2011.

Record 2: Contact Permission ID with the value Y from 15.10.2012–31.12.9999.

When there is no time interval during which an account or contact can be contacted via a specific communication channel, the DataSouce extracts a record with the time interval 01.01.0001–31.12.9999, and a Contact Permission ID with the value N (No) for the respective communication channel.

The DataSource provides deltas when the following applies:

The account or contact address data is changed.
A marketing permission is deleted.
A new marketing permission is created.
A new relationship between an account and contact is created.
A relationship between an account and contact is deleted.
