Function documentationPrinting a Rights Availability Analysis Request

You can use this function to print a rights availability analysis (RAA) request. You use SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe to generate a PDF document for printing the request

To use this function, you must activate the business function Intellectual Property Management (CRM_IPM_1).

Prerequisites

RAA requests are printed using the print form that you configure using the form interface SFPI_CRM_IPM_RAA_REQUEST supplied by SAP. You access these forms using the SFP: Form Builder transaction.

You have specified the print forms that can be used for each rights availability request scenario. To do so, choose the following path in Customizing: Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step Industry-Specific Solutions Next navigation step Media Next navigation step Intellectual Property Management Next navigation step Rights Availability Analysis Next navigation step CRM WebClient UI Next navigation step Define Rights Availability Scenarios End of the navigation path. Select the scenario for which you want to define an admissible print form and choose Forms. SAP supplies a default form SFPF_CRM_IPM_RAA_REQUEST. You can customize this form to meet your requirements or define your own default forms to be used here.

Activities

You can print a request by clicking the Print Request button. This button is available on the Availability Criteria, IP Selection, and Availability Overview screens. However, it is only available if you have maintained at least one form in Customizing for the current scenario. You can specify the form to be used to print the request. The system displays this preview as a PDF document. You can print the RAA request from the preview that is displayed in the Adobe Reader.

Print Request in the Background

Alternatively, you can specify that the results of the background execution of a request are to be printed. In this situation, the PDF document generated is added to the spool request list for the user. If you want to print the request as a background job, you must specify the printer to be used, the form name and the number of copies to be printed in the Printing section of the background scheduling screen.

You can trigger background scheduling using the Execute In Background button in the Availability Criteria and Availability Overview steps. It can also be triggered using the Search and Execute In Background button in the IP Selection step. Once you have scheduled background execution, the system displays the printing information in the General Data step under Background Data.
