This business function provides you with new features and various enhancements to existing features that are used as part of the SAP CRM Interaction Center for Utilities.

The business function Utilities Free Text Search 4- QV Pages, Customizing provides you with the following features:

Dynamic Suggestion List

See Business Partner/Premise suggestions while typing

Error Tolerance

See desired search results despite typing errors

Business Partner Search

Search by Business Partner ID, first name/last name, address, Contract ID, Business Agreement ID, email, phone number and identification details

Premise Search

Search by address, Business Partner ID, first name/last name, POD External ID, Contract ID, Business Agreement ID

Business Partner/Premise NarrowBy Search

Perform a search on specific search fields by choosing a NarrowBy filter from the Define Free Text Search Profiles Customizing

Enhanced Multi-Page Quick View for Business Partner

The Quick View displays additional details including:

  • Business Partner Information (Business Partner ID, name, address, telephone numbers, email addresses, date of birth, identification details, last interaction date/reason, and so on)

  • Contacts Information (contact person and main payer name, phone numbers, email addresses, and so on)

  • Account and Billing Information (Amount Open/Due, active contracts, business agreements, and so on)

  • Open Issues (number of open issues including clarification cases, service orders/notifications, disconnections/reconnections)

Enhanced Multi-Page Quick View for Premise

The Quick View displays additional details including:

  • Premise General Data (Premise type, premise address, occupancy status, number of persons, and so on)

  • Open Issues (Current/previous business partner amount overdue, number of open issues)

  • Account Summary (Current/previous business partner Amount Due, active contracts/business agreements, and so on)

  • POD Information (Type, status, planned connection/disconnection, and so on)

  • Owner Information (Name, ID, address, birthdate, identification, telephone numbers, email addresses, and so on)

  • Previous Partner (Name, ID, address, birthdate, identification, phone numbers, email addresses, and so on)

Updates to Free Text Search Customizing

Several new settings are available:

  • Data Providers node

    Search Fields: lists all of the available search fields

    NarrowBy: defines a subset of all search fields

    Search Fields for NarrowBy: defines the search fields for each NarrowBy group which will be used when the corresponding NarrowBy attribute is selected

  • OData Services node

    Quick View Fields Mapping: defines the mapping between the OData fields and the Data Provider fields

  • Search Objects node

    Quick View Set: defines all the groupings of attributes into different Quick View sets

    Quick View Attributes: defines all the OData attributes that should be provided for a particular Quick View Set

Two BAdIs are provided that allow customers to extend the Free Text Search feature to influence search results and the quick view for business partners and premises.

BAdI: Free Text Search Data Provider

You can use this BAdI to modify potential search results, as well as the detailed data for business partners and premises on the data provider layer.

BAdI: Free Text Search OData Service

You can use this BAdI to enhance the Gateway model (OData service) and change (or retrieve) the object detail data as well as the search result data.
