Features

Product Enhancements 5 for Utilities provides you with new functional enhancements and features for the sales processes in SAP CRM for Utilities:

  • The Extended Demo-Example feature provides new functions, a new example user interface and new demo products for the PFC OData-Service CRM_IU_UI5_PFC.

    The new user interface that we supply with the name CRM_IU_PFC_MOB replaces the previous interfaces that were supplied with the names CRM_IU_UI5_PFC and CRM_IU_UI5_PFCM.

    This feature provides the following changes to the service:

    1. No entry is made in the database during read accesses. This entry is not made until a user makes a change.

    2. The service contains a new database table to reduce the memory requirement.

    3. Changes that are made in quick succession can be processed more efficiently.

    The feature contains the following enhancements to the service and the corresponding UI:

    1. You can change the display language to one of the installed languages at any time.

    2. The service supports the following scenarios for Real-Time Collaborative Editing that you can test as examples in the updated demo that is also supplied here

      1. The Internet customer can use the service to view the Product Finder and Configurator document used by the agent in the Interaction Center while they configure this. They can also change the document if necessary after the agent has ended the call or finished processing.

      2. If problems occur, the agent in the Interaction Center can view the document for a customer on the Internet and both parties can make changes simultaneously. Use of the WebSocket technology means that both users see the same data.

    3. After the document has been sent or saved by the customer, the RoadMaps or tabs (attributes with the render types “o”or “k”) can still be modified online. This means that the data sent can be viewed at a later stage even if you are not currently on the last RoadMap or tab displayed. These changes are for display control purposes only, they are not stored in the database.

  • You can use the New Render Type: Text Area feature to configure a text field for longer texts in the Product Finder and Configurator.

    In the simplified configuration context, you want to use a text field, for example, to enter the content of an e-mail. The render type input field does not allow you to enter texts with multiple lines, so that longer texts cannot be processed correctly.

  • You can use the Language Dependency Filter feature to limit the number of languages offered in the BRFplus editor. This can be useful for the language-dependency of BRFplus result fields for texts and descriptions to avoid huge lists of possible languages. You can restrict this to the languages you use most often.
