 Relationships

Definition

Relationships established between objects, as the source object, with other products or objects.

Use

Object relationships represent different business relationships. An object – product relationship can therefore be used to represent, for example, an accessory relationship.

The different meanings are defined by using different relationship types, to which attributes can be assigned.

The main relationship types available for objects include the following:

  • Accessories

  • Services

  • Service Parts

  • Qualification Requirements

  • Warranties (for more information, see Warranties )

  • Counters (for more information, see Counters )

  • Objects (for more information, see Objects )

They are available on the Object page as separate assignment blocks. It is also possible to display the relationships of a reference product. For more information, see Referencing Data from Products .

Structure

You can define relationships for the object relationship type that represent connections or associations between individual objects in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Master Data -> Products -> Objects -> Object Settings for Service Management -> Define Object Relationships.
