Function documentationSave Title Hierarchy

You want the title hierarchy that has been saved to be retained for each account assignment object if a (master data) change is made to the title hierarchy that is currently valid. This means that it is transferred to Accounting when an OR settlement is reversed, as was the case when this settlement was created.

The title hierarchy can also be saved in the settlement data collector independently of the account assignment objects.

The IPMO Billing Engine application makes the IPM_TITLES and IPM_TITLEH features available, which ensure that the title hierarchy is saved for each account assignment object.

  • The IPM_TITLES feature contains one title for each account assignment object. This is always the title at the lowest level in an Intellectual Property (IP).

  • The IPM_TITLEH feature contains the bottom three title levels from the title hierarchy for transfer to Accounting.

Prerequisites

You have an acquisition contract with exploitation-dependent royalties (item category IEM2) for an IP, which is managed as an underlying component for other IPs.

Activate the IPM_TITLES or IPM_TITLEH feature (for DL and DPL) from the following Customizing path:

Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step Industry-Specific Solutions Next navigation step Media: Intellectual Property Management Next navigation step Billing and Settlement Next navigation step Outgoing Royalties Next navigation step Adjust Billing Engine Application for Settlement of Outgoing Royalties End of the navigation path

Caution Caution

If the feature is activated subsequently, the title hierarchy is not entered in existing data records with account assignment objects or in the settlement data collector.

End of the caution.
