Function documentationCreating SAP HANA Live Dashboards in CRM

In SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), you can create SAP HANA Live dashboards to view two SAP HANA Live reports on the home page and in specific work centers.

Prerequisites

  • To create and publish SAP HANA Live dashboards using the dashboard assignment wizard, you must activate the business function Embedded Interactive Reporting and SAP HANA Live Reporting Analytics (CRM_EMBED_IR_ANA_UI).

  • You must be assigned the business role Analytics Professional (ANALYTICSPRO) to create and publish dashboards in the SAP CRM system, and to manage them. You can publish dashboards for business roles such as Sales Professional (SALESPRO) and Marketing Professional (MARKETINGPRO).

Activities

Launch the CRM WebClient UI with the Analytics Professional (ANALYTICSPRO) role. Click SAP HANA Live Dashboard under the quick link Create to create and publish SAP HANA Live dashboards and proceed as follows:

  1. In the first step (Dashboard Details), enter the following details:

    • Enter the Name and description of the dashboard.

    • Specify the report titles of those SAP HANA Live reports that you want to view on the dashboard. You can use the input help to search for available reports. Based on the selected report, the description field is updated.

  2. In the second step (Define Common Filters) of the wizard, you define a common filter for the SAP HANA Live reports.

    • Click Insert to add a common filter for an SAP HANA Live dashboard.

    • Enter a Filter Name, for example This Year.

    • Choose the Report Attributes for both the selected SAP HANA Live reports. You can use the input help to search for the available attributes.

    • Choose a Operator and define a filter Value. If you choose the operator as an expression, the value is selected based on the available expression data.

  3. In the third step (Business Role Assignment) of the wizard, you can publish the dashboard as a link to the work center.

    • Choose a business role, for example SALESPRO. You can use the input help to search for available roles.

    • In the list of available target screens for the selected business role, select the page or target screen in which you want the SAP HANA Live dashboard to appear.

  4. In the fourth step (Share Dashboard), you can share the dashboard with certain users or organizational units:

    • Choose Add Employee to search for employees and add them to the authorized employee list.

    • Choose Add Employees from Organization to search for organizational units and add them to the authorized employee list.

If you do not want to share the dashboard, you can skip this step.

  5. Choose Save to create the dashboard for SAP HANA Live reports.

After you create a dashboard, you can publish SAP HANA Live dashboards on the home page and work center using Dashboard Assignment Wizard. To view the SAP HANA Live dashboard that you have created, navigate to Manage Dashboard.

Note Note

The dashboards shared in the fourth step will be visible in the dashboard work centres of users with Sales Professional (SALESPRO) and Marketing Professional (MARKETINGPRO) business roles only. If you wish to share these dashboards with users who are assigned other business roles, you have to extend the sharing of dashboard links. For more information, seeExtending the Sharing of Dashboard Links.

End of the note.
