Component documentationAccount Origination

In the banking environment, you can use this scenario to support the advisory and application process for financial service products, such as consumer loans or real estate financing, and to map this in the system. The scenario helps you to analyze customer data and asset targets, to calculate and create customer-specific quotations, to trigger risk assessment, and to conclude contracts.

The scenario includes various application components: SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) is a front-end application that you use to access the functions of various back-end applications. This gives you a central point of access for executing processes that previously ran on separate systems with redundant data and you can integrate these processes in your company's overall system landscape.

Implementation Considerations

If you want to use account origination with CRM 7.0 EHP3, you must activate the business functions Perf.: Billing, Pricing, MAC (CRM_FS_PERF_1) and CRM-FS, Guided Loan Origination Process (CRM_FS_NBRNWL_1).

Integration

To map the account origination process with CRM 7.0 EHP 3, you need the following components:

  • SAP CRM 7.0 EHP3

  • SAP NetWeaver 7.3 enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration

  • At least one contract system for the operational management of contracts

In the banking customer quote and loan wizard, you can query the standard price conditions from a connected account-managing system. You can also calculate the payment plan in a connected account-managing system. To use these functions, ensure that your account-managing system meets the requirements needed to transfer the required data.

In the banking customer quote and loan wizard, you can read collateral constellations from a collateral-managing system and calculate new collateral constellations. To use these functions, ensure that your collateral-managing system meets the requirements needed to transfer the required data.

Features

The following functions are available for account origination:

  • To ensure the comfortable and simple handling of all functions that you need in the account origination process, you can use the role Financial Services Sales Manager (FS Sales Manager).

For more information, see User Interface and Roles.

  • You can map financial service products (FS products) in the system using a separate product type. You can also group together several products to form product bundles and create relationships between products. You can use product bundles with financial services quotations.

    For more information, see Product.

  • To manage customer data, you use the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services.

For more information, see SAP Business Partner for Financial Services.

  • To map your FS products in the system, you can enhance both the product master data and business transactions, and you can also enhance the distribution of the data to the back-end applications.

  • You use Case Management to centrally manage and maintain the information for the origination process for a business partner.

For more information, see Case Management in Account Origination.

  • You can use the Banking Opportunity transaction type to create and maintain opportunities for financial services. The Banking Opportunity enables you to use the need analysis function to determine customers' needs. It also enables you to let the system determine eligible banking sales products based on the customer's requirements and configured eligibility criteria.

For more information, see Maintenance of a Banking Opportunity.

  • You can use the Banking Customer Quote transaction type to create and maintain quotations for financial services. The banking customer quote enables you to start the loan onboarding process.

For more information, see Maintenance of a Banking Customer Quote.
