Partners (Involved Parties)

Relationships between an Intellectual Property and a business partner are displayed as product relationship and displayed using the Involved Parties relationship type.

You maintain a relationship between an Intellectual Property and a business partner to:

Document this relationship in the system
The relationship can also be read during partner determination in the contract. To do so, make the settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Basic Functions Partner Processing Business Add-In for Partner .

Structure

To link a business partner with the Intellectual Property using partner functions, you must make the following Customizing settings first:

Define the corresponding partner functions under: Customer Relationship Management Basic Functions Partner Processing Define Partner Functions .
Group these partner functions in a partner determination procedure under: Customer Relationship Management Basic Functions Partner Processing Define Partner Determination Procedure .
You then assign this partner determination procedure to a basis category of the Intellectual Property type in the SAP Easy Access menu under: Master Data Products Maintain Categories and Hierarchies.
