Assignment of Additional Product Components to Product Packages or Product Determination Objects Using Component Conditions

To model utilities packages and product determination objects, you must first assign product components to them. You can then define a component condition to dynamically control the way in which packages are expanded.

This assignment automatically creates a row for the rule line in the group Assigned Next Level Components. This can be modified at a later stage.

We recommend using the following procedure to assign additional product components to product packages or product determnation objects using component conditions:

  1. Navigate to the Product Modeling for Utilities overview page for the product required and switch to the editing mode.

  2. In the hierarchy tree for the product components, choose Insert Component.

  3. Select the corresponding product in the product search dialog and choose Select.

  4. The system inserts the new component in the component hierarchy.

  5. Define a component condition if you want to dynamically control the way in which packages are expanded.

  6. Save your changes.
