Prerequisites

You want to use a Top-n scenario, in which the selection of the target groups is to be performed via the BW system and not via the Segment Builder in the CRM-System.

Use

This DataSource is needed to extract the target group data during synchronization of the target groups with the BW from the CRM system. Extraction is only possible for target groups with category Product proposal . Also, the indicator Synchronization with BW must be set for the target group attributes. If this indicator is set, then an initial transfer of the business partner list to the BW is performed when the target group is saved. As long as this indicator is set, a delta package is created for the BW every time the business partner list is changed. This package contains deletion records for business partners that are deleted when the list is changed. It also contains additional records for newly added business partners (after images).

If the Synchronization with BW indicator is removed, then the target group should also be deleted from the ODS object in BW. Furthermore, for all business partners in the list, a deletion record in a delta package is transferred to the BW system. This deletes all records from the target group list, which then causes the entire target group to be deleted from the target group ODS.

Delta Update

The delta mechanism is triggered by the application to set up the delta packages independently and place them in the BW delta queue.

Extraction is performed using BW adapter. This creates after images and possibly deletion records.
