Function documentationReports for Territory Administration

You use these reports to identify gaps in territory assignments and correct them, and to change organizational assignments of territories. There are five reports available for this:

  • Accounts: No Territories

  • Accounts: Multiple Territories

  • Territories: No Employees

  • Territory: Substitute Position

  • Business Transactions: Substitute Territory Owner

Since they are search-based reports, they allow you to collectively identify all territories with missing assignments and maintain them. For example, you can view all the territories that do not have accounts assigned, or replace a particular employee across all the territories. You can search for all territories that have been assigned to that employee and change the position assigned.

Prerequisites

These reports are accessible via the CRM WebClient UI, but are not visible by default. You have to make the required settings as part of configuration for the Territory Processing business process. In the SAP Solution Manager, choose Start of the navigation path SAP CRM Next navigation step Scenarios Next navigation step Enterprise Sales Next navigation step Sales Performance Management Next navigation step Business Processes End of the navigation path.

Features

  • Accounts: No Territories

Displays all accounts that have not been assigned to any territory. This report identifies such accounts so you can assign territories to them.

  • Accounts: Multiple Territories

Displays all accounts belonging to more than one territory. This report identifies such deviations and allows you to effectively manage distribution of accounts.

  • Territories: No Employees

Displays territories with no employees assigned to them. This report identifies such territories so you can assign employees to them.

  • Territory: Substitute Position

Allows you to change the employee assignment in one or more territories to support a vacation scenario. For example, if Employee A, who is assigned to one or more territories, is away from office for a certain time period, this report allows you to assign Employee B. This way you can manage all of Employee A’s territories in this intervening time period.

  • Business Transactions: Substitute Territory Owner

Allows you to update sales employee or territory details in business transactions after change in ownership. For example, if an employee assigned to one or more business transaction has left the organization, this report allows you to assign a new employee to all the business transactions that the previous employee was responsible for.
