How Do I Customize Business Roles?
The following document describes the business role Customizing in the CRM WebClient.
Before you start your Customizing activities, you have created a navigation bar profile that you want to use in your business role. The navigation bar profile contains a collection of work centers, direct link groups, logical links, and central search objects. It can be assigned to a business
role. You have created the navigation bar profile for your business role in Customizing for UI Framework

You can select a business role in the result list by clicking the technical name in the Business Role
column. You navigate to the overview page of your selected business role. Here you can see the most important information about your business role, at a glance.
You can change the business role details in the header block by clicking the Edit
icon. You can change the information in every assignment block by clicking Edit List
. You can use the Clean Up
button
to delete rows in which the indicator Deleted
is set. This means that the corresponding rows are not part of the underlying navigation bar profile any longer, and that these entries are no longer relevant for this business role. You can use the Translate
button
to translate titles into other languages, for example work center titles in the navigation bar. Save your changes after you have finished changing your business role.
You can copy a business role by clicking the Copy
icon either on the search page at the top of the result list or on the overview page. You are asked to confirm that you want to copy all dependent entries of the current business role to the new business role.
