Before you can start working with your business role, you need to assign your business role to a node, either an organizational unit or a position, in the organizational model. All users who are assigned to that node can access the assigned business role.

You can perform both assignments in the business role Customizing in SAP GUI or in the CRM WebClient UI.

Assigning a Business Role to an Organizational Unit

You assign your business role to an organizational unit or a user in the organizational model, which is available in transaction PPOMA_CRM. The user needs to be assigned to the same organizational unit.

  • In the CRM WebClient UI, you can start the organizational model in the navigation bar of your business role via the logical link MD-ORG-SR.

  • In SAP GUI, you define the organizational assignment in Customizing for UI Framework, by choosing Start of the navigation path Business Roles Next navigation step Define Organizational Assignment End of the navigation path.
