Batch Recall
You can use a sales promotion from Sales Support to recall a batch that has already been delivered to a customer if it does not meet quality standards or was damaged.
Batches of the relevant material have already been delivered to customers.
In the standard system, the required settings for the mailing type are in Customizing for Sales and Distribution. For more information about how to perform the client synchronization, see Client Synchronization for Batch Recall.
The mailing type 0111 (batch recall) controls the sales promotion for batch recall.
●
The system uses a
report (SDCAS_RECALL) to determine which customers are affected based on the
sales area, the material number, and the batch number.
The system creates an address list accordingly and generates a correspondence
text in the mailing campaign.
The internal sales representative can edit this default text.
● Recalls can be generated as soon as the mailing campaign has the status released.
● Using report RSNAST00 (parameters: output application K1 and output type MABC), the letters are printed with the addresses of the selected customers from one or more mailing campaigns. You can restrict the number of mailing campaigns to be printed using the object key parameter.
You create a batch recall as follows:
...
1. In the SAP menu, choose Logistics → Sales and Distribution → Sales Support → Sales promotions → Edit.
2. Under Direct mailing, choose mailing type 0111 (batch recall) from the dropdown list box and enter a short explanation of the sales promotion as the Comment.
You can use your comment to search for the mailing later.
3. Under Status, choose 011 (recall) as the Reason for your mailing.
For the Follow-Up Action, the system automatically sets the Sales Activity Type 0011.
If no default sales area data is entered, enter the data under Organizational Unit.
Enter the data for the Contact Persons.
4. Edit the requested text types on the Texts tab page, such as Report and Note.
5. On the Description tab page, edit the data for the address. Enter SDCAS_RECALL as the report
The selection screen for the report appears, on which you can enter the selection criteria for creating the address list.
The report generates an address list from which you can choose the required addresses. You then release the list.
6. On the Description tab page, choose the status Released for the sales activity.
The mailing action is available for the recall with the valid address list and can be printed. For more information, see Printing the Direct Mailing.
