This function enables you to index product catalog data, for example, products, texts, and pictures, to the TREX index server, so that the catalog can be displayed in the Web shop.
You can index content from all or individual product catalog variants of a catalog, and for all, or only changed data.
Note
Catalog indexing was previously known as catalog replication in earlier releases of the CRM product catalog documentation.
You have activated your product catalog, variant, areas, and items.
When you first index a catalog variant to the index server, you must perform an initial indexing. This means that all content in the catalog variant is indexed.
Note
You must make sure all variants, areas and items are activated, otherwise the indexing will not work.
You set up an initial indexing direct from the catalog in SAP CRM. You can define the following data for initial indexing:

You can perform a delta indexing to index any changes to the index server that make to your catalog after initial indexing takes place. By only indexing changes, you save on runtime and performance issues.
You set up delta indexing directly from the catalog in SAP CRM. You can define the following data for the delta indexing:

After indexing is complete, the system creates a log of the indexing results in the catalog maintenance area in SAP CRM. The system displays whether indexing was successful or not, and, if not, provides information on errors that occurred.
