Example documentationATP Check for Kit - Mixed Case

This example shows a complex case. Kits are confirmed based on both complete kits and kit components, also usingproduct substitution and location substitution.

The kit (product A) used in this example consists of the components A1 (quantity 1) and A2 (quantity 2):

The procedure is as follows:

  1. You enter product A. Item category TAN is determined automatically.

  2. The system carries out availability check for product A in location 1000 (location is determined automatically).

  3. The results of the availability check results are displayed in the sales order as follows:

    • Two complete kits can be confirmed in location 1000 (item no. 20).

    • The system then checks availability of kit components in location 1000. Three more kits can be confirmed (item no. 30) using components A1 (item no. 40) and A2 (item no. 50). On the basis of rules-based ATP check, product A2 is partially substituted by product B2 (item no. 70).

    • One complete kit can be confirmed in location 2000 (item no. 80).

    • On the basis of rules-based ATP check, product A is substituted by product B in location 2000, so another kit can be confirmed (item no. 90).

    • Three kits can be confirmed in location 3000 (item no. 100) using kit components A1 (item no. 110) and A2 (item no. 120).

  4. The main item is broken down into subitems:

    • The main item is now a text item (item category TAPA).

    • Kits that can be confirmed completely are not broken down into components (item category TAN).

    • Kit components are represented as subitems (item category KOMP) that are relevant for shipping. The confirmed quantities and dates are in the confirmed quantity/date schedule lines for the subitems.

    • Kit headers are represented as subitems (item category KIT) that are relevant for shipping and billing. The confirmed quantities and dates are in the confirmed quantity/date schedule lines for the subitems).
