Claims management is an application that allows users to create and settle claims. Brand owners and consumer products companies can create and settle claims in the market development funds (MDF) and trade promotion management (TPM) business scenarios respectively. Channel partners can create claims to request reimbursement from brand owners in the MDF business scenario.

Features

  • Claims in the MDF business scenario

    The brand owner and the channel partner can create claims in the MDF business scenario. For more information, see Claims Management in the MDF Business Scenario.

  • Claims in the TPM business scenario

    The consumer products company can create and settle claims in the TPM business scenario. For more information, see Claims Management in Trade Promotion Management.

  • Validation Sheet

    The validation sheet helps you decide whether a customer’s claim is valid. To use the validation sheet, you must make settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), by choosing Start of the navigation path Claims Management Next navigation step Validation End of the navigation path.

  • Claim settlements

    Claims can be processed for payout. For more information, see Claim Settlements.

  • Prepayments

    The consumer products company can create prepayments in the TPM business scenario. For more information, see Prepayments.

  • Chargebacks

    The consumer products company can recover funds from a customer. For more information, see Chargebacks.

  • Write-Offs

    The consumer products company can “write off” amounts that are either unresolved or uncollectible. For more information, see Write-Offs.
