You create and execute campaigns to promote sales, improve the image of a product, and create opportunities for add-on sales and cross-selling (for more information, see Campaign). SAP CRM offers several ways to create campaigns.

.To create a campaign based on an existing campaign, at least one campaign must be available.
To create a campaign based on a campaign template, at least one campaign template must be available.
You can either create an entirely new campaign or base your campaign on an existing campaign or campaign template.
Using the regular campaign function, you can control every aspect of your campaign. In this case, you enter and select all information that is required to create and execute a campaign by yourself, for example the required campaign details and the segments that contain the business partners or marketing prospects you intend to contact.
You can use the Campaign Wizard
guided activity to create and execute simple campaigns that do not require the full functionality of segmentation and campaign management, for example small mailing campaigns with a single target group.
To use this function, you must activate the business function Campaign Wizard (CRM_MKT_CPG_WIZARD
).
You can create a campaign from a campaign template. In this case, the system creates a new campaign on the basis of the selected template and allows you to edit or add to the campaign details and all other campaign information before you execute the campaign.
You can select an existing campaign as a basis for creating and executing a new campaign. In this case, the system re-creates the selected campaign under a new ID and allows you to edit or add to the campaign details and all other campaign information before you execute the campaign.
