You can use this role to call up the process message monitor. Here, you can change and manually send process messages that have not yet been sent. You cannot use this role to delete process messages.

This role comprises, for example, the authorization to change data in process messages that have not yet been sent. Note that you may change data that is both not quality-relevant and quality-relevant with this authorization. If you need to comply with legal requirements such as the guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), you can delete the change authorization if you want. If you do so, you cannot make changes to process messages that have not yet been sent.

Apart from sending messages manually from within the message monitor, you can also define a background job to send the process messages automatically. You define background jobs for sending process messages in Customizing for Process Management under Process Messages.
