You can use this business function to receive functional enhancements for Student Lifecycle Management. The Implementation Accelerator offers improvements to areas such as academic offerings and academic processes, and reduces the implementation effort for customers with advanced features in standard business processes.
You have installed SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 4.
You have activated the business function set CAMPUS_MANAGEMENT and the business functions ISHERCM_MAIN and ISHERCM_SETTINGS.
Make the settings in Customizing for Student Lifecycle Management under:

When you activate this business function, new Customizing activities that are assigned to the switch ISHERCM_SFWS_UI_EXT_IAP will be visible.
The following features are available in this business function:
A new web user interface for Attendance Tracking is available, where instructors can view the attendance data of students, eliminating the need for hard copy documentation.
The Academic Work user interface can be accessed directly from the Student Search screen, and Business Add-Ins are available that allow advanced validation of academic work data. Customers can save time accessing academic work, and fewer navigation steps means that the data entered is more accurate.
Online Grading is offered as an ABAP Web Dynpro application, as an alternative to the current Java Web Dynpro application for Appraisal Self-Service. Corrections and enhancements issued by SAP can be easily adopted, and the user interface can be easily configured to meet customer needs.
New Business Add-Ins for Event Offerings suggest default abbreviations or names of events and event packages, to comply with the rules of an institution. You can define your own validation rules for event offering data.
You can create graduation records directly from the Graduation per Student transaction.
You can generate correspondence specific to a module, which facilitates official communication with the students registered to that module.
You can reduce the booking checks that occur at Module level, and during waitlist move-up. Performance of module booking is improved, and waitlist move-ups can occur more frequently.
You can easily create and maintain complex booking checks, using the Extended Booking Check Framework, which reduces overall implementation and saves time and costs.
You can automatically generate Audit rule containers for the Academic Structure. Enhancements have been made to the following:
