Directly Dependent Business Function Requiring Activation in Addition |
JVA (Joint Venture Accounting) |
You can use this business function to reverse cutback postings. This may be necessary where erroneous cutback postings have been made within a specific period and it is necessary to undo or reverse these postings. Previously, the reversal of any cutback postings made in error required carrying out the reversal process manually, which was laborious and time-consuming. The availability of an automated process dramatically reduces the time and effort required.
You have activated the current business function (JVA, Cutback Reversal), which automatically activates the switch JVA_EHP4_1. You have activated Joint Venture Accounting.
You have installed the following components as of the version mentioned:

A number of selection options allow you to determine what cutback documents presented for possible reversal. Company code; Posting year; and Posting period are mandatory fields. Date of cutback run and Cutback document number are optional. All documents that match the criteria you set out are displayed and may be selected for reversal. Previously, all cutback documents were issued with a cutback document number. With this business function (JVA, Cutback Reversal), cutback now also triggers the population of a new cutback control table. That such a cutback control table has been populated for a specific cutback document is a prerequisite of the cutback reversal process. Hence, only documents which underwent cutback subsequent to activation of this business function are eligible for cutback reversal.
The new cutback control table forms the basis for cutback reversal, containing information on the following elements for all cutback postings in a given period:
cutback FI documents
cutback SL operator documents
cutback 4E/4F ledger documents
cutback intercompany documents
When a document is reversed, all elements making up the cutback control table for that document are also reversed.
All subsidiary documents (see list above) of a selected cutback document are reversed automatically when cutback reversal is run for that primary document.
Note
Cutback documents which were created by the Farm in/out or equity change programs are not eligible for cutback reversal.
Cutback documents created prior to implementation of this business function are not eligible for cutback reversal.
