Tasks

You set up sales and profit planning mainly with the Planning Framework, which is the interface with which planning is also performed. This is where you define the levels that you wish to use in planning, create the planning packages for the individual planners, and specify the parameters for the methods that can be applied to the individual planning packages. You can use personalization profiles to restrict the authorization to edit certain planning packages to certain planners and to specify how the planning packages can be edited. For example, you can define a personalization profile specifying that a given user should enter the data for a specific planning package via the World Wide Web, or that planners should use Integrated Excel when manually entering planning data in the Planning Framework.

This role ensures that data is transferred correctly between Profitability Analysis and other applications.
