If you use Concurrent Employment, you can use this business function to perform personnel actions such as hiring, termination, or leave of absence for employees with multiple personnel assignments. The management of these processes for employees in concurrent employment is thus much easier and more user-friendly. It is ensured that the HR master data is entered correctly and consistently, and the HR department's workload is reduced.

  • You have activated Concurrent Employment for the clients in your ERP system in which you want to use the functions of this business function.

Features

Organizational Reassignment

If you change organizational data for an employee in concurrent employment and this change leads to the employer changing, the system supports you with ending the old personnel assignment and creating a new personnel assignment with the new employer. You no longer need to perform two personnel actions when the employer changes. You can also transfer data from the old to the new personnel assignment.

Termination

You can use this function to end one, multiple, or all personnel assignments for an employee in concurrent employment. You no longer need to run the Termination personnel action individually for each personnel assignment that you want to end. You can also transfer data from a personnel assignment that you end to another existing personnel assignment. You can also specify that the quota overview and the benefits workbench for Concurrent Employment are called automatically when you perform the Termination personnel action so that you can make the necessary adjustments for attendance and absence quotas and benefit plans.

Changing the Payroll Area

You can use this function to simultaneously change the payroll area for future payroll runs for all personnel assignments of an employee in concurrent employment. This prevents you from changing the payroll area for only one of an employee's multiple personnel assignments and all of the employee's personnel assignments being rejected in payroll. This ensures that after the payroll area has been changed, payroll can be run correctly.

Leave of Absence

You can use this function to define a leave of absence for employees in concurrent employment in the system. You no longer need to perform the Leave of Absence personnel action individually for each of the employee's personnel assignments. You can also transfer the data from a personnel assignment for which you specify the leave of absence into another personnel assignment. You can also specify that the quota overview and the benefits workbench for Concurrent Employment are called automatically when you perform the Leave of Absence personnel action so that you can make the necessary adjustments for attendance and absence quotas and benefit plans.
