Promise to Pay

Given downward trends in payment behavior and rising defaults, the promise to pay functionality offers a means of optimizing payment channels without increasing the workload on company staff. By providing the means for your customers to initiate their own promises to pay, demands on call centre staff are lessened as is the need for extensive dunning procedures. It is especially useful for companies dealing with mass volume data and those with high levels of customer interaction.

An eligibility check ensures a customer is a suitable candidate for promise to pay. Once this has been confirmed, this customer can select an open bill and create a promise to pay. Customers choose a permitted promise to pay type, and specify a reason and start date. To initiate automatic payment on the specified date, they can choose a payment method. When a customer has created one or a number of promises to pay, they can display these for review or withdrawal online, reducing the need for staff to deal with queries and payment issues.
