Enhancements for the appraisal template in the Performance Management process
An enhanced and improved user guide is available in the relevant SAP Web application to set up the appraisal template before the start of the process. This includes:
Hide or show review phase
Before the start of the process, administrators can decide whether they want a review phase to be available to managers and employees during the process.
Hide or show meeting scheduling in the planning phase or review phase
Before the start of the process, administrators can decide whether they want a manager to have the option of scheduling a meeting with an employee before the start of the planning phase or review phase.
The application for creating appraisal templates has also been enhanced with the following functions:
You can copy appraisal templates.
You can delete appraisal templates on which no appraisal documents are based.
Enhancements for the configuration of the Performance Management process
A user-friendly SAP Web application is available for setting up the process. For example, administrators can do the following:
Use different templates in an appraisal period (example: one year) for the predefined Performance Management process. The process and its appraisal template may look different depending on the process requirements. This allows you to make multiple processes available, each with an appraisal template.
Example
Template for process 1: Year-End Appraisal for Sales 2009 and template for process 2: Year-End Appraisal for Production 2009
Enter required texts for the process (such as the title or description) for both managers and employees based on role and make the texts available for the process in additional languages. They can also hide or show selected phases of the process.
Use the Performance Management process from the previous year as a template and copy it as the Performance Management process for the following year.
