Activities

On the Identify Account screen, you can perform multiple functions:

  • To search for existing customers, choose the Search Account pushbutton.

If you have entered some search criteria and the system has found more than one customer, a hit list of all identified customers is displayed.

Once you select an entry in the hit list of the account search, the system fills the Account ID field and corresponding fields of the Contract search screen.

  • To create a new individual customer, choose the Create Individual pushbutton.

  • To create a new corporate customer, choose the Create Corporate pushbutton.

Note Note

To identify the business partner, the system uses SAP CRM standard identification. The standard identification function is enhanced by an industry-specific contract search.

End of the note.

To use this function, you must carry out the Customizing referenced above. In the Define Account Identification Profiles activity, you can create persons and organizations in the account identification. You can also enter the role in which to create a new business partner.

If you want to set up automatic confirmation for the identified account, select the Continue checkbox in the Auto Continue view of the account identification profile.

You can also choose whether the contract identification starts immediately after a business partner has been confirmed, by selecting the Auto Search checkbox in the Object Component view for TCICIDENT.
